PetJam Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
Developer: TARIK KOCYIGIT
This Privacy Policy explains how TARIK KOCYIGIT (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PetJam app and related APIs. It is written for the product as it exists today: an entertainment app that turns a pet photo and an animal template into a short AI video. It is not a medical, family-care, or likeness-swap product.
1. Who is responsible
The controller is TARIK KOCYIGIT, the developer of PetJam. Privacy questions: [email protected].
2. Information we collect
- Account. Email address; optional nickname and avatar. If you use Google Sign-In we receive a Google user ID, email, and (if provided) name and profile photo, and we may store the Google ID to recognize you next time.
- Pet media. Photos you upload to create videos, plus template media we host (cover images, video, audio). Uploads go to object storage and are shown via a CDN URL.
- Generated jobs. Template used, credit cost at the time, source image URL, status, and result video URL when a provider returns one.
- Wallet. Credit balance, membership expiry, Play product IDs, purchase tokens, and order identifiers needed to grant weekly membership or credit packs and to stay idempotent.
- Invites. Your invite code and, if you choose to enter someone else’s code, the link between those accounts and any credit ledger entries from that reward.
- Notifications. Preferences (video ready, weekly update, product update, billing). If you enable push, a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token and optional device id. If you stay in the app we may keep an open event stream.
- Help content. We store help articles that you can read without signing in. Reading them does not require an account.
- Technical logs. Request identifiers and operational logs needed to run and debug the Service. We do not use advertising SDKs in the backend described here.
We do not ask for phone numbers, precise location, contacts, or health data. We do not currently offer password login; email sign-in uses a short-lived verification code.
3. How we use information
- Create and authenticate your account, including Google Sign-In.
- Generate AI videos from the photo and template you select, deduct credits, and show results.
- Process Play purchases and keep membership and credit balances correct.
- Apply invite rewards you choose to use.
- Send verification emails (Amazon SES) and, if you opted in, push or in-app events when a video is ready, when a purchase lands, or for product/weekly updates.
- Moderate abuse, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
- Improve reliability of uploads, generation, and notifications.
4. AI generation
To create a video we send the pet image URL (and template context) to the generation provider we have configured. That provider processes the image to produce a video. We cannot treat generation as “on-device only”. Do not upload photos you are not allowed to share with us and our processors. Output quality is not guaranteed.
5. Sharing
We share information with processors who help us run PetJam, including:
- Amazon Web Services (object storage, email delivery; typical region us-east-1 as configured).
- Google (Sign-In, Play Billing, Firebase Cloud Messaging if enabled).
- The AI video provider configured for the environment, when you submit a job.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the Service, or others.
6. Retention
- Account data stays until you delete the account or we close it for cause.
- Temporary uploads that are not claimed are removed after about three days (object storage first, then the database record).
- Deleting your account removes your AI video jobs and your uploads (including S3 objects) and soft-deletes the user so the same email can register again.
- Purchase and credit ledger rows may be retained as needed for accounting, chargebacks, and fraud review.
- Backups can lag live deletion by a limited period.
7. Your choices
You can update notification preferences in the app, unregister a push token, sign out (which invalidates access tokens), and delete your account. You can refuse Google Sign-In and use email instead. You can decline to enter an invite code. To request access or deletion beyond in-app controls, email [email protected].
8. Children
PetJam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International processing
Servers and processors may be in the United States (including AWS us-east-1) or other countries where we or our providers operate. If you use PetJam from another country, you understand that your information may be processed outside your home country.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be reflected at this URL. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
